Urgent and Important Grid PDF Print E-mail

Our Board facilitator recently showed us the Stephen Covey  “urgent and important” grid.  It divides tasks up into four different categories:

  •   urgent and important
  •  urgent and unimportant
  •  non-urgent and important
  •  non-urgent and unimportant

What I have started to do is write out my outstanding tasks and projects on cards and then “deal” them out on the appropriate square of the grid. Not only does it help me prioritize, but it also helps me identify what I should be delegating to others or simply not doing at all.
